Eldon Tool and Engineering’s continued investment in their apprenticeship scheme paid dividends this month when Eldon employee Alex Montisci received a major award at this year’s Brinsworth Academy of Engineering Learner and Employer Awards which was held on March 15 at the Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham.

The event which took place as part of National Apprenticeship Week highlighted the work that is taking place to develop the next generation of engineers, and showcased both learners and employers alike paying tribute to their continued hard work and dedication.

Alex Montisci started with Sheffield’s Eldon Tool and Engineering at age 16 in 2010 and completed his apprenticeship in October 2012 with a Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Alex was delighted to be awarded the SMC Award of Excellence which acknowledged the success that he had achieved during his time at Brinsworth Academy of Engineering.
